Why Do Most People Fail in Internet Marketing?

Internet marketing is a living breathing business.

Just like any brick and mortar business on the street it should be treated as such.

Because the entry process of starting a business online is so easy, many people get caught up in the illusion that making online is even easier.

They start a website or join a business and spam links on different websites thinking their going to get lots of sales.

Or end up doing things that aren’t beneficial for their business wasting time and money.

This leaves a sour taste in their mouths and people give up and give internet marketing a bad name on their exit.

In today’s post I wanted to discuss some key reasons why people fail online never to return again.

Why People Fail in Internet Marketing

1. They Fail to Choose the Right Niche

Choosing the right niche is vital to making money online.

Many people just pick something they think can be profitable and try to make something happen with no real proof of success.

If you haven’t done the proper research in selecting a niche that is profitable and doesn’t have much competition then more than likely you will be setting yourself up for failure from the beginning.

By doing proper research you set yourself up to get going in the right direction from the jump.

Just because you like tubing doesn’t mean it can be good for you to market online if there is no market for it.

2. They Fail to Invest in Their Education

Investing in yourself is key to success online.

If you aren’t willing to spend money on products that can make you or your business better you are setting yourself up for failure.

I get it, the internet is full of information.

Everything you need to know on internet marketing can be found for free, but my question to you is do you know how to process all of that information.

When I began online I thought I could do it all on my own.

The problem was information overload.

I would constantly leave myself frustrated.

I felt like I was going in circles with my marketing efforts and not knowing where to start or go next once I got past an obstacle.

3. They Have Shiny Object Syndrome

Majority of newbies get caught up in the shiny object syndrome.

Each new big thing that comes out they are ready to jump on it leaving what they’ve been doing behind.

By constantly abandoning projects that you have started will never gain you the success you seek.

If you want to be successful at anything online you must pick a method and stick with it.

Master it and move on to the next thing once you’re comfortable.

4. They Give Up Too Early

If you give up too early in anything you will constantly fail.

So many people get into internet marketing to get their feet wet instead of just diving in and going for it.

They get started for a few days, a couple weeks, or even a month and expect to be making a full time income off a few hours of work.

It just simply doesn’t work that way.

You must learn many different things to become successful online and know how to apply a multitude of strategies.

Very few people have made fortunes overnight if anyone at all.

Most people fail online because they do not take action long enough to see results.

At the first sign of an obstacle they quit.

5. Lack of Belief in Yourself

The main reason people fail online is because they don’t believe in themselves.

Thinking it’s not possible to succeed online, but just taking a shot at it anyways.

If you’re going to get into internet marketing GET INTO IT.

Don’t half do everything or skip over things because they seem too difficult.

Believe that you can do the video, or make the post, or write the copy, they do the things you need to do to master it.

There are so many different components to internet marketing, but believing in YOU is the most important asset you can have.

People fail online because they don’t come in with the right mindset.

If you don’t have a vision or a why then there is no motivation for you to do what’s necessary to succeed online.

Success is not guaranteed in any business and if someone tells you it is then you need to run.

Nobody can guarantee you success because they can’t guarantee that you’re going to do what’s necessary to succeed.

Only you can decide that.

Decide today to not fail in your business and develop the mindset you need to succeed by investing in yourself and getting around people who want to see you win.

As the internet continues to grow more opportunities arise for entrepreneurs to earn a living online.

The reason why the internet can be ideal from some is it’s relatively low start-up costs and ease of entry.

Traditional business ventures are usually designated to a certain area, but the with internet you can be accessible to customers all over the world if you set your business up correctly.

Internet marketing is extremely flexible and allows you to work from anywhere at anytime with a laptop and internet connection.

The opportunities are vast online, but before diving in to just anything you must decide which path you want to follow.

If you’ve made it this far I think it’s safe to assume that you’re interested in starting your own online business.

Today I wanted to discuss some revenue models for you to choose from to get your business going in the right direction as soon as possible.

5 Revenue Models to Consider For Your Online Business

1. Blogging

Blogging is one revenue model you can follow.

It’s fairly simple to set-up a blog with WordPress.

You don’t have to know much about HTML and you can get a blog started in a few hours.

You’re objective here is to create valuable content that people enjoy reading and can learn from.

If it solves a problem it’s probably good to right about it.

The options are limitless on the content you can post on your blog to gain readership.

Blogging is a low risk venture that over time can provide you with multiple streams of income through affiliate programs, advertising revenue, AdSense, and promoting your own products to name some things.

Blogging is a good way to build a brand for yourself and positing you as an expert in a given niche.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the most profitable revenue models and the quickest to make a profit.

With affiliate marketing you have the opportunity of promoting other people’s products or services and making a commission based on purchases from customers you send their way.

My first bit of income online was made using this model and I still use it today.

You don’t have to deal with having a blog and posting content regularly.

You can set up a simple squeeze page and send traffic there to build your list and promote products.

This increases your chance of being able to make a sale over and over again.

There is no scarcity of opportunities in affiliate marketing because there are always new products to promote and sell.

However, you have to gain an edge over other affiliate marketers.

Competition is really tough so you should take advantage of every skill you have and learn to create raving fans by showing them who you are through providing good content and building relationships.

3. Niche Marketing

Niche marketing deals with you focusing your marketing on a specific target market.

This requires research, but is very specific and allows you the ability to pinpoint your marketing campaigns.

Most newbies start off finding products to promote to a market.

Experience marketers find a market and provide the market with products that are beneficial.

This is where the revenue comes in.

The difference between a product and a niche is that a product can be on an upwards trend now, but it can become obsolete tomorrow.

Competition isn’t always bad when it comes to niche marketing.

This means that people are spending money and people are making money.

Your objective should be to figure out a way to carve out your own little space in the market by filling a void.

4. Freelancing

This revenue model is a fast way to earn money online.

Are you good at writing, web design, SEO, etc?

Figuring out something you excel in and marketing your services online is a great way to generate quick revenue.

If you learn how to market your skills effectively you can make money in your first day.

The advantage of marketing your core skills as opposed to using them to develop another platform such as a blog is that you earn money immediately rather than having to wait.

Once you build up a strong list of clients you can decide to do it full-time or a way to supplement your current income.

5. Internet Marketing

Internet marketing as a whole is the most competitive revenue models on the net.

It deals with a variety of marketing efforts across the board.

You can work your way to becoming a full-time internet marketer by mastering different revenue generating techniques one-by-one.

It is a collaboration of all the different kinds of online marketing strategies and also involves creative and technical aspects of
the web as well.

If your goal is to make a living online you should strive towards becoming an internet marketer.

The more techniques you master the better your overall business will be.

Start of small and don’t get discouraged.

Get through the humps and move one to the next venture.

It can get discouraging with all the work required with building an online business, but don’t give up.

Figure out what you need to change or improve to make your business better.

As long as you continue to market daily and provide valuable content good things will happen.

It all about making little tweaks to your business to improve your conversion rates and get you going in the right direction.

What are Conversion Rates?

Conversion Rates are the percentage of prospective customers who take a desired action you want.

It could be the percentage of people opting in to your list, reading your articles, or purchasing your products.

No matter where your conversion rates are they can always improve.

How to Increase Conversion Rates?

Improving conversion rates in any aspect of your business can eventually lead to an increase in your profits.

There a numerous ways to increase conversion rates and today I wanted to discuss three ways that you can improve them and get your business moving in the right direction.

Increasing online conversion rates

1. Captivating Headlines

Your headline is the first thing that visitors are going to read.

It’s the main reason why most people read an article or become interested in a product.

The right headline can increase your conversion rates dramatically just by getting more people to click.

Split testing should be done when using different headlines.

For more on writing good headlines you can check out this post => Writing Effective Headline Copy .

2. Improve Your Copy

Whether it’s an article, email, or sales page you should always work towards improving your copy.

People need to know the benefits or your product, and the benefits for taking action if they purchase your product.

Having a swipe file is a good tool to have where you have a collection of proven ads and sales letters to use as a reference when writing your sales letter.

Never copy them word for word, but use as a guide to construct your copy.

If you just can’t figure it out you can always outsource the process to someone who does.

It will cost you, but in the meantime you can practice on creating your own winning sales letters until you are comfortable with doing your own.

A trick I use is writing my own and getting someone else to write one for me.

Then I split test and see which works best.

This is something you can try in your business.

3. Improve Website Design

The design of your website can be vital in improving your conversion rates.

If people are coming to your blog or website and don’t enjoy the functionality of the site they will quickly leave.

If it’s not appealing to the eye then visitors are also not going to stay very long.

If you can improve the design of you website and make it easier for them to find articles and opt in to your list you will have a better chance of gaining more customers and making more sales.

Use these 3 tips to improve your website’s conversion rates today.

It’ll be more than worth it if you take the time to utilize these tips.

Once you see your conversions improve with these strategies you can begin implementing others to constantly improve your conversion rates.

5 Ways to Leverage Your Online Business

There are many people who search the internet looking for information to start their own online business.

The idea of wanting to have control over your schedule and the freedom to work whenever and wherever you want is alluring.

The internet is filled with endless opportunities.

These opportunities can create success in your life and give you the things you desire most.

One thing I can guarantee is it’s going to take dedication and commitment.

If you have the right mindset and the desire to succeed you will succeed, but it won’t happen overnight.

It’s easy to get caught up in the marketing tactics of those that promote instant riches and little to no work involved, but in my experience online that’s not the case.

A foundation has to be built and processes need to be followed before you can enjoy the fruits of your labor.

By developing a successful system and following that system you can make your journey much simpler, but not easier.

If you currently have an online business or are looking to start one, today I wanted to discuss some ways to create leverage in your business and make your business work for you.

5 Leverage Tips to Propel Your Online Business

1. Leverage the Internet

The internet is a huge place with many people navigating different website daily.

Depending on your niche, this gives you so many opportunities for sources of free traffic to build your list and make sales.

You can utilize forum marketing, social media, guest blogging, article marketing, and video marketing to increase your traffic and build relationships.

Using these resources require a bit of time, but they generate targeted traffic that gives you the ability to make sales.

2. Leverage Other Marketers

One of the best ways to make your business/products more visible is to utilize the resources of others who do what you do.

If you build relationships with other marketers online you can get them to promote your business and products to their contacts.

Now you have expanded your efforts by using other people and they get rewarded with commissions or the ability to gain new subscribers by tapping into your list or traffic.

3. Leverage Your Email List

Building an email list is one of the best methods to build a successful business online.

By creating quality content and resources that people can use to succeed you can build a successful business for yourself.

If you have a list of 5 or 5,000 you need to leverage that list by sending them relevant content that’s going to make their business better.

Do not focus on products, services, or topics that can’t help them.

Focus on finding problems and providing solutions.

4. Leverage Your Reputation

Focus on building your brand and creating a positive reputation for yourself.

While you can’t please everyone, do your best to do your best.

Spend your time one marketing yourself through your blogging, social media, and videos.

Over time people will see your consistency and want to follow and learn from you.

It’s all about exposure.

5. Leverage on Outsourcing Work

When you get to a point where you have extra expenses to put into your business your can free up time by outsourcing some of your work.

There are many sites online that offer services for work that can be done in your business.

You can get people to write articles, optimize your website, design your graphics, etc.

This can give you more time to spend on marketing and building your brand.

Always focus on how you can make your business better no matter how successful you may feel it’s going.

There will come a time where you just won’t be able to do everything on your own.

You will have to outsource different things to continue to expand your business.

Whether it be SEO, articles, content, or layout you will have to let someone else do the dirty work for you.

Don’t get discouraged, this means your business is growing.

Create a plan for yourself and work that plan.

Everything will not go perfectly, but with a plan you give yourself and your business a better road map to reach the destination of success.

Work From Home

Deciding to Work From Home? Here’s Why You Should

Thinking about work from home?

One of the most important decisions you can make in life is what you want to do to make a living.

You may have been that person that planned out your career in high school and worked diligently to make that dream happen, but life got in the way.

You may be that person that has given up on following your dreams and doing the things you want to do in life because you’ve got caught up in the rat race and don’t know how to get your head above water.

Getting yourself into a rut and taking on menial jobs just to get by because it’s all you can get or something quick to get you to the next day.

Over 75% of the US population is living paycheck-to-paycheck.

One paycheck away from getting behind or totally losing it all.

You have to make the decision yourself to break away from the cycle and do something different.

Whether it’s taking on a new job, going back to school, or starting your own business you have to have the strength to make a genuine effort to make a change for yourself.

There’s a select group of people out there who work from home and enjoy the benefits of it.

These people have the skills that will get them success, and they are motivated enough to make sure their dreams will eventually come true.

Even if they don’t have the financial options that they might need right away, they will still be successful because they plan ahead and make things work on their own.

These are the types of people that will do whatever is needed to make sure they are making enough money to do the things they desire most in life.

Is this YOU?

Working from home can be highly rewarding if you are willing to put the effort into making it work for you.

It’s not all glamorous, but it is well worth it when the work is done and the money starts rolling in.

If you’re ready to take control of your life and be your own boss I wanted to discuss with you five reasons why working from home can be AWESOME.

Here Are My 5 Reasons Why You Should Work From Home

1. You Run the Show

You don’t have to worry about any boss, managers, or coworkers getting on your nerves.

The success or failure of the business is based on you and your efforts.

When you work for yourself you get to create your own schedule and move when you want.

2. You Control Your Income

There is no cap on what you can make.

You have the opportunity to make an unlimited income.

Once you establish a good customer base you can make money whenever you’d like.

It’s about having a plan and working it.

3. You Can Retire When You Want

Another advantage of working for yourself is that you can choose when you want to retire.

Nobody will question your decision, because, after all, you are the one who runs the show.

4. You Will Have A Social Life

Working for someone else requires so much of your time for the success of someone else’s business.

If you’re going to work hard it might as well be for yourself.

If you work from home you can create your own schedule and have a good balance of work and play.

5. Flexibility and Freedom

You can wear whatever you want to take a vacation anytime you please.

Work from home requires a lot of work, but in my opinion it’s worth it when you can live the life you desire.

Flexibility and freedom where my reasons for starting my own work from home.

While things get difficult at times I remember my why and push forward.

Never give up on your dreams and if work from home allows you to live your dreams then I suggest you go for it.

If you’re living paycheck-to-paycheck and can’t afford to quit your job then figure out a way to work your business and your job.

Any bit of time spent on your business is time well spent.

Starting an online business doesn’t require as much as other brick-and-mortar businesses and can be worked at your own pace.

Take that leap and get yourself out of that hole.

Work from home.

Lead Generation

Importance of Creating Consistent Content For Lead Generation to Make Sales

Content is king when it comes to lead generation.

If you’re a blogger, email marketer, or an affiliate marketer you’re going to have to create valuable content for your leads one way or another if you want to make money online.

Money is certainly a motivating force in any business, but when it comes to online marketing the only way money pours in is when you can provide solutions to a problem.

It’s all about the relationship you create with a prospect.

If you can provide them with a solution, they in turn provide you with their money.

That’s usually how business works.

The more value you provide, ultimately the more money you can potentially make.

What is Lead Generation?

Lead generation consists of the action a marketer will take to get the contact information from a target group.

These leads can be generated using various resources and marketing strategies including squeeze pages, ezines, advertising, and surveys to name a few things.

Once the desired information is obtained the marketer can now contact the prospect directly or send them through a sales funnel to convert into a buyer.

Qualified leads are the most important asset a business can have.

When you generate leads you give yourself the opportunity to constantly grow your business.

Providing Valuable Content to Build a Relationship with Your Leads…

When it comes to obtaining leads for your business the important things should happen after that lead is secured.

Lead generation isn’t too difficult once you learn where and how to obtain them.

The difficult part comes in when you have to follow up with those leads and build a relationship with them to convert them into buyers.

This was an issue I had when I first began online.

Instead of solving problems I would just send people offers with no explanation or reason hoping they would buy.

I got sales here and there, but nothing consistent and I was quickly losing money because of it.

I couldn’t figure out why people weren’t buying.

But now I know it’s because I wasn’t providing them with any value and wasn’t directly solving their problems.

Building a relationship with your leads is one of the most important things you can do in your business.

Customers are the lifeblood of a successful business and converting them is vital.

Spamming is not the way to go.

You provide value by sending them information through articles, ebooks, videos, tutorials, podcasts, and one-on-sessions.

There are countless ways to provide value to your list, but it’s your duty to figure out which works best for you.

Some of the most successful marketers online use a variety of ways to provide value to their list.

Be creative.

Creating a strong relationship with your leads will ultimately lead to purchases and ideally repeat purchases.

So while lead generation is the initial step don’t look past the follow-up and relationship building because that’s what will lead to your sales.

Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing: 3 Components of a Thriving Online Business

Internet Marketing is an important marketing tool that can allow businesses to communicate directly to their targeted customers with the use of technology.

With every year, people are coming on the internet to search for products, information, and ways to make money online.

The internet has been booming since it’s existence and will continue to thrive as time goes on.

If you’re someone who’s in internet marketing or looking to get into it there is money to be made and it’s your job to find your place in it all.

You can either sit on the fence or get yourself involved in learning what it takes to be successful with internet marketing.

A ton of profits can be made if you follow a simple model of how to market your business and products online.

Today I wanted to discuss with you some of the most basic tips you’ll need to know to make money online.

It’s best to create a plan and stick to that plan to be successful with internet marketing.

3 Internet Marketing Components

1. Blog/Website

If you’re looking to make money online then you’re going to need a blog or a website to post up quality content in your niche.

People have to have a place to find your business and a blog/website can be used to brand yourself and build your credibility.

Many people have become skeptical online these day so it’s best to show that you have authority in your niche space and know what you’re talking about.

You can use your site to answer questions, make posts, provide testimonials, and market products.

Post quality content often that can assist people with their needs and solve their problems.

2.Get Traffic

Getting targeted traffic is extremely important.

If you don’t have people coming to your site or offer who aren’t already somewhat interested then it’s probably going to be difficult to make a sale if any at all.

And if you don’t have any traffic coming to your site then there’s no way to make a sale at all.

People have to be frequenting your site and also have to be interested in what you have to offer.

There are many ways to get traffic to your website, but it’s not going to happen overnight.

Some traffic sources you can use are forums, pay per click (ppc), blogs, article marketing, blog commenting, podcasts, video marketing, and social media marketing to name a few.

You can master one or utilize multiple traffic sources.

Your objective should be to get people who are interested to your website or offer.

3. Build an Email List

An email list is important to be able to follow up with the leads you get from your traffic.

It’s a place to house your leads and keep in contact with them as often as you’d like.

The more people you build up on your list, the more money potential you have to make.

There are some marketers online with lists of 100,000 plus people.

Think about how much money they are making?

But don’t get it wrong, you don’t need a list that big to make good money online.

The size of your list doesn’t matter as much as the relationship you have with your list.

Provide them with quality information and fill any voids they are having and you can thrive online.

These three things can help you get started with building a thriving online business.

If you are looking to have a business for the long haul these are three things you should do and do well.

Remain consistent and learn how to make yourself and your business better daily.

Online Business

Why You Should Think About Starting an Online Business

The internet has created many entrepreneurs across the globe.

Some people not having any experience, tech savvy, or any money have created online businesses that prosper.

There are lots of benefits of starting your own online business.

If you’re someone who’s on the fence about starting your own online business I think you should take some time to reflect on how it could change your life and the benefits are starting one.

My reason for starting an online business was not wanting to have to work for someone else.

I wanted to have freedom, flexibility with my time, and an opportunity to make money 24 hours a day.

If you’re someone who doesn’t like having to punch the clock this post is for you.

Today I wanted to discuss why you should start your own online business and the benefits it can offer.

Starting Your Online Business

Starting an online business isn’t as difficult as one might think.

You can get your business started with less than about $100.

You’ll need web hosting, a domain name, and an autoresponder.

Now just because you have these three things does not mean you’ll be well on your way to quitting your job, but it does mean that you have taken the necessary steps to creating an online business that can potentially allow you to quit your job somewhere down the line.

If you never get started then you’ll never have the opportunity to get yourself from where you are to where you want to go.

Benefits of an Online Business

1) Low Costs

As noted earlier to get started with your own online business, the costs are low compared to other ventures.

There are some business opportunities on the web that don’t even require you to have a website.

So people make a living online just building an email list and marketing various affiliate products or even their own.

It’s not like an offline business where you have rent, employees, inventory, and have to drive to every day.

With an online business you have the opportunity to work in the bed, the living room, your favorite coffee shop, etc.

You can run your business from the power of your laptop and be profitable doing it with the right plan and work ethic.

2) You Control Your Income

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to start an online business was to be able to control my income.

With most jobs there is a cap on what you can make.

If it’s salary, you work at the mercy of your boss only to see the same pay every pay period.

It it’s by the hour, you only have a limited amount of hours you can work in a day.

With an online business it can work for you 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Who wouldn’t want that?

What you earn is solely based on YOU and your EFFORTS of creating the kind of business you want for yourself.

3. People Spend Money on the Internet

It’s been reported that consumers will spend about $327 Billion online in 2016.

That’s a huge amount of money and if you can tap into a small percentage of that you can make a decent living for yourself.

It’s all about finding your place on the web and carving out your own little niche.

Internet spending is estimated to account for 40% of all retail sales by 2020 and 84% of the world’s internet users now shop online.

People enjoy spending money from the comfort of their own home.

These are just a few of many benefits when it comes to online business.

If you are looking to start your own online business do your research and figure out your niche.

There is money to be made on the internet, but it’s going to take some work.

If you are looking for a new way to make a living, freedom, more time to spend with family, or to quit your job then starting your own online business could be the way to go.

It’s created new lives for countless others and you could be the next.

See you at the top.

Best Wishes!

The Best Time to Start is Now

Many people talk about starting a business, opening a restaurant, going to school, or becoming a doctor.

If you are someone that has a dream or wants to pursue something deeply, the best time to start is now.

Don’t continue to sit on the fence and keep on pushing back your dreams.

Begin creating a plan and setting goals for yourself.

You have to get your business started now…

The best time to get started is now.

If you begin your business today you give yourself the power to take control of your life and give yourself a new direction.

The longer you push off doing the things you desire eventually will figure out ways of why you can’t do it and end up not doing it.

Once you make a decision to do something you should be definite and focused.

Take consistent action to pursue the things you desire most.

Action is the only thing that will lead to results and the first step to getting their is starting.

Whether you have the money or not, whether you have the time or not, whether you have the resources or not, the best time to start is now.

Work on the things that you can and figure the rest out later.

3 Things You’ll Need to Get Started

1. Web Hosting

You’re going to need a place to house your website and maintain web files.

Web hosting allows you to get your website on the internet by giving it a place for people to access and a name to be searched by those looking for your information.

2. Blog/Website

Once you have web hosting you can now create your own blog or website.

Whether it’s a blog about your passions, information, or reviews you can spin it anyway you like.

You can do ecommerce, advertising, or just a fun place for people to go.

3. Autoresponder

An autoresponder will allow you to build a customer base to send them direct information instantly, keep in contact, and provide them with products for their solutions.

Having an autoresponder can be the bread and butter of your business if you build a good relationship with your list and provide them with value.

Getting started online can cost you less than $100 to get your business off the ground and get you started in the right direction.

Success isn’t going to happen over night, but the most important things is getting started and the best time to start is now.

Don’t continue to push it off each day and continue making excuses of why you can’t.

The best time to get started is now.

Best Wishes!

Choosing a Career

Choosing a Career in Internet Marketing

There are so many career options today.

People are free to pursue any profession of their dreams and live comfortably doing what they enjoy.

Confucius was right “do what you enjoy and you will never have to work for a day.”

Before choosing a career, there are several considerations that a person has to really mull over.

Internet marketing is one of the most dynamic and broad careers at the moment.

It attracts experts from various fields hungry to earn a living working on the internet.

The world is no longer a global village, but a global marketplace where anything is possible.

If you’re looking to choose a career in internet marketing here’s what you’ll need to know in your business and someone else’s.

Choosing a Career in Internet Marketing

Understand the Role

When choosing a career, the most important factor you must consider is whether you understand what it entails.

Internet marketers simply take care of a company’s marketing and advertising campaigns on the web, ensuring that they attain the highest possible web presence.

As an internet marketer, you will be required to increase website traffic and generate sales from the site.

It revolves around engaging various channels to meet the goals like drafting of advertising plans for the company.

Or specific products and/or services, use of email campaigns, social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others, search engines optimizations (very important), content marketing, and many more.

For larger companies, internet marketing experts work closely with other specialists in different departments like information technology, web content, marketing and advertising and customer support.
